WTA Libéma Open Best Bets Including Kudermetova vs Minnen

Hoe gaat het? Het is tijd voor de WTA Libéma Open in ‘s-Hertgenbosch. That is to say, How are you? It is time for the WTA Libéma Open in Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. Since my family is from the Netherlands, I thought I would sprinkle in some Dutch whilst introducing my best bets for the upcoming matches. If you agree with my picks, let me know in the comments.

WTA Libéma Open

Pera – Cocciaretto: Time 12:30

H2H: 4-1

Bernarda Pera has been on something of a tear lately. While many of her victories have come via the Bundesliga, she is 7-3 in her last ten matches, including a third-round appearance in the French Open; she also lost in the quarterfinals of the qualifying rounds at Strasbourg. Cocciaretto has had the opposite results. At 4-6, Elisabetta Cocciaretto didn’t have the clay court season she was hoping for, and now she’s on grass, which isn’t her favorite surface. At only 7-4 for her career on grass, so lucky for her that Pera is equally unsure on the surface. While she has a touch more experience, it’s not much at 15-16 all-time on grass.

Best Bet to Make

If we’re going off previous results, there’s a reason that Pera is the favorite in this match. She’s 4-1 against Cocciaretto in her career, but none of those matches took place on grass. They often have competitive matches, and the values for each competitor reflect that. There’s a lot to like about Cocciaretto, but she struggled tremendously in her first match and was lucky to escape with the victory, as both of them went to a tiebreak. Pera also struggled in her first match and saw several tiebreaks and a third set. Fatigue shouldn’t be a factor for Cocciaretto, which is why I am more inclined to favor her as the underdog in this match. Pera went three sets on the 10th and will have to play again on the 11th, whilst Cocciaretto hasn’t played since the 9th.

That being said, Cocciaretto winning is a value bet for sure.

Kudermetova – Minnen: Time 16:00

H2H: 1-0

Veronika Kudermetova and Greetje Minnen have only played once prior in their careers, and it was at Hertogenbosch back in 2019. The two ladies played a three-set thriller in the quarterfinals. Both ladies are playing exceptional tennis right now, with Minnen coming off a tournament victory in Birmingham. Kudermetova is 7-3 in her last ten matches, and that includes two third-round appearances at both the French Open and the Italian Open in Rome. Minnen is 8-2 in her last ten, but has two first-round exits in both of the other tournaments in which she played.

Best Bet to Make

Both ladies boast similar career records when it comes to playing on a grass surface. Kudermetova is 31-19 and Minnen is 31-17. Binnen is also 6-0 on grass this year, while Kudermetova is only 1-0 in 2025. The books have Kudermetova as a small favorite, and I’m not sure I agree. Form is everything in tennis, and not only is Minnen 6-0 in her last six matches, she’s also played all of them on grass. Kudermetova is 4-2 and was largely playing on clay before this tournament.

That being said,  Minnen winning is a value bet for sure.

Andreescu – Sun: Time 10:00

H2H: 0-0

Bianca Andreescu and Lulu Sun will meet for the first time. As far as form goes, this match couldn’t be happening at a worse time for Sun. While she’s 5-5 in her last ten matches, she’s 2-3 in her last five. Primarily a hardcourt player, Sun is only 20-10 all-time on grass. Andreescu isn’t that much more experienced at 29-18 all-time, but Andreescu enters at 6-4 in her last ten, and she’s 5-2 in her last seven matches. Both ladies could use this match to get their form going in the right direction, but Andreescu seems a bit more dialed in than Sun at this time.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Andreescu as a favorite, and I agree. I know I went with the underdogs in the previous matches, but each of those picks featured competitors who are not only capable of giving people extremely tough matches, but have also found momentum at one point or another relatively recently. You cannot say that with Sun. She’s simply not playing her best tennis right now, and until she starts playing with some confidence, it’s going to be hard to place confidence in her winning. Andreescu seems ready and has been able to answer the competitive bell more frequently as of late.

That being said, Andreescu winning is a value bet for sure.
