STANDISH, MI – A Michigan convenience store headquartered in the northern part of the state but with locations all over the mitten is celebrating 100 years of doing business.
Standish-based Forward Corp. is celebrating its milestone anniversary with a slate of community giveback events across Michigan, the fifth-generation family-owned business announced this month in a news release.
“We have always believed in the power of community,” Forward Corp. President Abby Moniz said in a statement. “As we celebrate 100 years, we want to make a meaningful impact on the towns that have been part of our journey.”
As part of the milestone celebration, Forward Convenience Stores are launching a special “Giving Pump” initiative to benefit local schools, along with a series of in-store giveaways and customer appreciation events throughout 2025, according to the release.
Beginning in April and running through September, Forward Convenience Stores will host a Giving Pump event at select locations. A portion of monthly fuel sales will be donated to the local school district where the event takes place.
In addition to the Giving Pump initiative, Forward Convenience Stores are celebrating monthly customer appreciation events at select stores featuring food and drink tastings, prize giveaways and more.
“We wouldn’t be here without the support of our customers, employees, and local communities,” Moniz said.
