Latest transfer news: Arsenal consider Rodrygo move as Barcelona eye Luis Diaz

The summer transfer window is growing ever closer on the horizon for many of the biggest players in European football and as such clubs across the continent are already making plans for the summer window. Teams are working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets and figuring out their budgets.

Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals. A plethora of players will become available in the summer where clubs famously have more money to spend and aren’t as restricted by financial fair play rules. The rumour mill is beginning to pick up pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories. 

Today’s biggest transfer stories 

Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a move for Rodrygo this summer. The 24-year-old is considering his future at Real Madrid and there’s been reports that the Spanish giants could move for Nico Williams. Mikel Arteta will aim to strengthen his attacking options this summer and Rodrygo is a target. 

Barcelona remain interested in signings Liverpool’s Luis Diaz. The 28-year-old enjoyed an excellent start to the season at Anfield but his form dropped off as the season progressed. Diaz only had two years left on his contract at Liverpool and Barca could make their move this summer.

A possible replacement for Diaz at Liverpool is Lyon’s Malick Fofana. The 20-year-old is regarded as a major target and Liverpool have watched the Belgian international closely this season.
