Local bank welcomes new team member

Johnson County home sales update

Johnson County kicked into high gear in May, thanks to an increase in pending home sales and a boost in available inventory, according to data compiled by F.C. Tucker Company.

Specifically in Johnson County:

  • Pended home sales increased 11.9%, compared to May 2024.
  • Inventory increased 25.2%.
  • The median home sale price increased 2.5% to $325,000.
  • Homes sold in 16 days on average, spending four more days on the market than this time last year.

Area store serving as food pantry drop site

Greenwood’s Menards home improvement store is now serving as a drop site for a local food pantry through the months of June and July.

People can donate outside food, or pick from a variety of non-perishable food items that can be donated to the food pantries from the store’s grocery department for immediate donation. There is a large collection box near the exit doors to place donations.

Franciscan opens Ortho Sports Urgent Care clinics on southside

Franciscan Physician Network has opened a pair of Ortho Sports Urgent Care clinics to serve the southside of Indianapolis and Greenwood.

Conditions treated at the clinics must be musculoskeletal in nature, such as sprains, strains, fractures, sports injuries, joint pain and suspected concussion. The team at the Ortho Sports Urgent Care clinics are equipped to handle a wide range of sports medicine and orthopedic needs. On-site X-rays are available. Injuries and conditions that cannot be treated at the clinic include burns, chronic conditions, open bleeding fractures/injuries and prescription refills.

The Ortho Sports Urgent Care clinics are located at 1703 W. Stones Crossing Road, Ste. 100, Greenwood and 5255 E. Stop 11 Road, Ste. 310, Indianapolis.

Each of the Ortho Sports Urgent Care clinics is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Same-day, walk-in services are available to patients of all ages. No appointments are needed.
