Stagecoach, the UK’s largest bus and coach operator, has launched a new service between St Andrews to Edinburgh Airport with a unique feature – ample space for golf clubs.
Passengers on the JET787 service can enjoy comfortable and direct travel between St Andrews, Guardbridge, Cupar, Auchtermuchty, Kinross Park & Ride, Halbeath Park & Ride and Edinburgh Airport. Limited stops mean a frequent and efficient service that drops passengers off right at the door of Edinburgh Airport, with plenty of room for luggage – and golf clubs.
The new service is ideal for golf lovers who want to travel to St Andrews, the Home of Golf, before exploring a variety of other exciting and historic courses and championships the country has to offer, including this week’s Genesis Scottish Open (July 10-13) and the Women’s Scottish Open (July 24-27).

Sarah Elliott, Commercial Director for Stagecoach East Scotland, said: “There’s an exciting summer golf season ahead, and we’re ensuring visitors can enjoy convenient, hassle-free travel direct to the home of the sport from Edinburgh Airport. We’ve carried thousands of people on the JET787 service since it first launched in May, and with the spacious luggage compartments, passengers can bring everything they need to enjoy their visit.”
Ticket prices start from £11.70 for an adult single with services running every two hours, taking approximately 90 minutes. Under 22s, over 60s and people with a disability can travel for free with a valid concession pass.
