Man City news: Fan views on signing of Rayan Cherki

Following the news that Rayan Cherki has completed his £30.5m move from Lyon to Manchester City, we asked for your views on the deal.

Sean: Brilliant deal, much better deal than could have been done for Florian Wirtz and a much better technician. Can’t wait to see him playing.

Darren: Fingers crossed, but can he perform on a cold night in Stoke?

Lee: Are these signings the manager’s choice or City’s choice? With the exception of Marmoush we haven’t seen anything from the winter signings. Why leave them benched if they are the future?

Shaun: What a deal! What a player! The Premier league isn’t ready for this boy’s class – City rebuild is on.

Oliver: I believe he is a great signing and will strengthen our midfield, especially with De Bruyne leaving.

Gary: Asked for our opinion on Reijnders last week and this week it’s Cherki and my answer is still the same. We have Divine Mukasa at the club and his potential is greater than both of the above. Our very own Alistair Mann called Mukasa ‘The Jewel in the Crown’.

Shaun: Bargain, bring it on.

Chris: Excellent choice, ideal to play with Rodri, good age and good deal. I’m very pleased with the work done so far.
